Melbourne Demons
Melbourne is the oldest football club in Australia being founded in 1859. They entered the AFL as one of the foundation clubs in 1897 and won their first premiership in 1900. They have won twelve premierships in total, with their most successful era being in the 1950’s where they won four premierships during the Ron Barrassi and Norm Smith era.
From the 1970’s onwards the Demons have experienced decades of disappointment having collected six wooden spoons since 1974. They currently have a young and exciting upcoming list which should take them to success.
